Enchanted forest, Cahuita

Partly it’s the trees themselves, partly it’s the way the sunlight is falling on the trees, but I must say, the “enchanted” effect of this picture is also partly due to the fine layer of mildew growing, unbeknownst to me, on the inside of my lenses, rendering 95 percent of my pictures from Latin America unusable. But somehow it worked to my advantage in this one. I took this on a beautiful and lonesome 9-km walk along the Caribbean coastline of Costa Rica in Cahuita National Park.
